Are You Good at Teaching Skating Outdoors? We’d like to talk to you!

The Anchorage Skate Club is looking for motivated, enthusiastic skating instructors for our programs beginning in late November and continuing to early March.

The ideal candidate will excel at working with young people in an outdoor environment, and have good fundamental ice skating skills. First aid certification, coaching or skating instructional certification (any type) would be considered an asset.

Instructors need to have their own transportation, a valid and current drivers license and be able to function effectively and cooperatively in an outdoor winter teaching environment. Some basic computer skills are required.

Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check prior to employment. Position entails up to 5 hours, 2-5 days/wk at various times (not necessarily continuously) and locations, and some lifting and walking on icy and slippery surfaces.
