ICE SKATING INSTRUCTORS NEEDED FOR OUTDOOR PROGRAMS
The Anchorage Skate Club, a 501(c)(3) charity organization, is looking for motivated, enthusiastic skating instructors for our outdoor ice skating and sport programs beginning in late November and continuing to early March.
The ideal instructor candidate will excel at working with young people in a challenging outdoor environment, and have good ice skating and instructional skills.
First aid certification, as well as any coaching or skating instructional certification, such as USA Hockey, USFSA, PSA, ISI, etc. would be a significant asset, but not essential. Instructors need to have own transportation, driver’s license and be able to function effectively and cooperatively in an outdoor winter teaching environment.
Candidates must pass a comprehensive
background check prior to employment. This position entails 2 hours, 1-4
days/week at various times (not necessarily continuously) and locations, and
some lifting and walking on icy and slippery surfaces.
Please forward your resume, a brief personal biography including sports and
teaching experience, and contact information to us via email. Please note that only candidates selected for
interviews will be contacted.
